About

I grew up near Chicago, but have spent my adult life on a farm in Idaho's Snake River country. I like to write stories about people, places, and events in our lives from a "middle" perspective. A friend characterized my writing as "sage thoughts from the sagebrush."​

Though I've always enjoyed writing, in my other lives I've been a public school teacher and a university professor. I have degrees in history, English and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. My essays and articles have been published in several different journals and newspapers.  Currently I'm working on a memoir.
